Lee Quenneville

Early in my life, I knew I wanted to become a physiotherapist.

I was one of ten high school students admitted directly into Queen’s Physiotherapy program. Since graduating, I have spent the last 20+ years refining my process as an orthopaedic physiotherapist.

For me, communication is fundamental in helping you get back on track. One of my favourite parts of any session is hearing about how you are feeling since your last visit!

My clinical focus is on manual therapy including mobilization/manipulation, McKenzie protocols, assisted isolytic stretching, muscle energy techniques, mobilization with movement, neuro-dynamic techniques, custom exercise prescription and mechanical spinal decompression.

During sessions,  I will regularly use physical and electrical modalities, as well as laser therapy to help speed your recovery.

I am also a certified orthopaedic acupuncture practitioner (since 2001) and recommend acupuncture for patients who are interested (and comfortable) in accelerating the rate of their recovery.

Over the years I have had great results for clients by including acupuncture and I highly recommend it.

My Promise To You

At Refining Physiotherapy, I commit to valuing your time as much as you do.

The reality is there is no magic pill to solve any non-traumatic physical issue that lasts for more than a couple of weeks (unfortunately)! It takes hands-on, intentional work from your physiotherapist.

I promise to give you the tools you need to get better - not make you dependent on treatment.

I promise I will not ask you to recite exercises or do anything in the clinic that you could easily do at home (once properly instructed). A practitioner who does this (repeatedly) may be choosing the “easy road” to their own workday.

I will never hesitate to break a sweat doing manual therapy when you need it.

I will take the time to plan the best techniques for correcting alignment issues and freeing up joint restrictions and muscle imbalances that are the source of your trouble.

Simply trying to temporarily mask your pain or keep you occupied with exercise and chit chat till your session time is up is no way to get results.

I am here to redefine your concept of physiotherapy.

Too often pain can interrupt your life and shake your confidence.

It is normal to wonder if you are ever going to feel better, if your medication is working, what is making the injury better or worse, and what you can do to speed the process along.

My goal is to meaningfully reduce your pain, increase your movement, and get you back to normal life and enjoyable activities as quickly as possible.

The New Clinic

I opened my own clinic in order to create an environment that was conducive to a treatment strategy most aligned with my values surrounding physiotherapy.

The clinic has been newly renovated and offers an exceptional one-on-one practitioner healing environment.

The location offers ample parking.
